Jeff surprised me with a trip to Dallas this weekend to celebrate me finishing my 4th semester projects at school. We had so much fun! We had been saying pretty much since we moved to Paris that we wanted to go do some of the "cultural" things, and I thought we had missed our chance. So we spent our last weekend in Texas doing just that! We left Saturday morning and went to see where JFK was shot. We went to the 6th Floor Museum and had a headphone tour, which talked about JFK's life, presidency, and of course his assassination, which was really neat! It was crazy standing right next the place where Lee Harvey Oswald was when he shot him. Also, you will see a picture of an X. They have X's painted on the road in the exact spots where he was hit. We stayed at a really cool hotel, called Aloft, that I highly recommend, shopped some, and then had dinner in a cool area called West Village. Today, we went to two museums, the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Those were pretty cool, especially the Modern. Jeff loved them! We got to see a cool Andy Warhol painting, but I'm not much of an art buff, so there weren't too many I recognized. But definitely a cool building. And then of course, a stop at Target. I absolutely cannot wait to finally live in a city where I can shop at Target. I love it. We had a fantastic last weekend before the big move!
